Life's Celebrations
Whew! Finally, I'm ready to blog again! It's been too long and I've missed sharing my thoughts and what's been going on with us over the last couple of months. MARCH: No big celebrations, but we were busy with Noah's hockey travel team. We went to Washington DC and enjoyed a fun weekend playing hockey and site-seeing. The weather was great, however, we just missed the Cherry Blossoms in full-bloom. Took a Spring Break trip to Great-Wolf Lodge in Gatlinbug. The kids had a fun time at the water park. The last two nights we were there, we stayed at a small local hotel. Wouldn't you know it, Noah had just as much fun in the small out-door pool. Kid's don't always have to have the biggest things to have fun. I highly recommend Dollywood for a "FAMILY" theme park. It is so clean and the staff is very friendly and helpful. I believe the key to their great staff is, they used mostly older people. They all seemed like "good ole folks". I bet you could go have Sunday dinner at any of their homes. Maybe, I'm getting older (hmm), but I'm finding alot of the younger guys working in the public field, don't have the work ethics and consideration for others. We've already made plans to go back in the Fall.
April is the start of alot of birthdays for the next few months. Ever noticed how birthdays seem to come in waves? Well, this is our wave. Our birthday celebrations for this month was my Mom and Katie. Yes, our Princess Katie turned "3". We had a Princess Tea Party with a few of her friends. She loved it. Even today, she was wearing her princess dress over her Red Sox, baseball shirt. It's a new twist to the princess attire. She also is wanting to be a roller skate princess. The modern princesses are trying everything these days. No more just attending Balls and sipping tea. I have to give a huge hug and kiss to my sweet Noah. He very willingly dressed as the prince for Katie's party (shh). He has always loved to dress in character for whatever he was playing. He still had an old Captain Hook velvet coat from Halloween which he wanted to be "Prince Charming" 2 years ago. He was very charming!
Love blooms for us in the month of May. Barry and I will celebrate our 19th wedding anniversary tomorrow. Time flies!!! Our 19 years have been wonderful. We've have experienced alot of trials, but God's grace and our love for each other has brought us through it all. We've shared alot of laughs, tears of joy, tears of sorrow and dissapointment, but the best of all, we've had each other to share it with.
I think I'm all caught up for now, but will have more birthday news etc. to share very soon. Life celebrations are special. It always worth taking the time to enjoy the beautiful moments.
