You Were Born for Me
To: Noah
From: Mommie
6/29/2013
In a country far away a beautiful baby boy was born for me. Neither of us knew that God would put us together. As I saw your beautiful face looking up at me for the first time, I thought “He’s Mine. He’s all for me”! So many days of tears I cried, I wasn’t sure if God had anyone for me. When I first felt your soft tender check next to mine, I thought “this is a dream come true”. This is my answer to all the nights your dad and I cried and prayed to God.  You were our answer to so many prayers.   So many Mother’s Day my arms were empty while my friends’ arms were full with their bundles of joy. I didn’t understand why my arms were so empty. I know now it was because God hadn’t made you yet. He knew you were to be born for me.
You were born for me to have someone to love and to have someone special to love me.
You were born for me to have someone to kiss goodnight and someone to sneak into my bed and kiss me good morning.
You were born for me to feel a warm gentle kiss on my check “Just Because” or to kiss away my tears.
You were born for me to feel your loving arms around my neck in times of celebrations and joy or in times of sadness and trials.
You were born for me to be a better person, to teach you and to be taught by you when I made mistakes as a parent. Though times of anger and disappointments may sometimes come between us, we make it through our storms, because we both know, you were born for me.
When your heart is broken, my heart is broken. When your heart is full of joy and happiness, my heart is full of joy and happiness for you, because you were born for me.
You were born for me to have a dance partner and a buddy to be silly with.
You were born for me to have someone to laugh and sing aloud with.
There was no mistake, the day you came into our lives. There was no mistake the day we came into your life. God’s plan is always perfect.
As you celebrate your 12th birthday, we wish you many days of joy, laughter, and much happiness.
If some days don’t go the best, don’t worry, we will be there for you. We will pray with you. We will always have open arms for you. We are there for you, because, YOU WERE BORN FOR ME and FOR DADDY.

OUR NOAH - Happy Gotcha Day!

It's Noah's 11th yr. Gotcha Day Celebration!  Hard to believe that sweet little boy that we picked up at Dulles Airport is now 11 yrs. old.  Where does the time go???  I look at him now as he sits across the room or is asleep in his bed and I'm so proud of who he is and yet so sad that I can't hold him in my arms again. Sometimes, I just want time to stand still. I want to see that little shirtless baby in diapers running down the hall full of energy.  I want to sit by his highchair and watch his fingers as they try to grasp one cherrio.

Time has to move on, but he will always be my first born baby boy.  He will make a great husband one day to some very blessed girl.  He loves to do for others so much.  He treats me with so much love and still kisses me on the check or will reach to hold my hand in the parking lot.  He's my little man full of life.  He has dreams of sports and dreams for serving God.  What more could I ask for.  God gave Barry and me the best gift we could ever hope for on January 28th, 2002.

A New Start

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! I'm back after a long break. It's been such a busy year for us. After having our house on the market for a year. We sold it this past July. I love our new neighborhood and home. I'm so ready to stay put! I love blogging. I think of it as my therapy, so I'm way overdue. I have lots of great pictures to share of the fun things we've done throughout this past year. I am trying to sort through them and will be posting some very soon. As of now, I will add a few more.

I look forward to starting my year off blogging! Hope you'll come back and check it out in the next several days. Thanks for visiting:)

Life's Celebrations

Whew! Finally, I'm ready to blog again! It's been too long and I've missed sharing my thoughts and what's been going on with us over the last couple of months. MARCH: No big celebrations, but we were busy with Noah's hockey travel team. We went to Washington DC and enjoyed a fun weekend playing hockey and site-seeing. The weather was great, however, we just missed the Cherry Blossoms in full-bloom. Took a Spring Break trip to Great-Wolf Lodge in Gatlinbug. The kids had a fun time at the water park. The last two nights we were there, we stayed at a small local hotel. Wouldn't you know it, Noah had just as much fun in the small out-door pool. Kid's don't always have to have the biggest things to have fun. I highly recommend Dollywood for a "FAMILY" theme park. It is so clean and the staff is very friendly and helpful. I believe the key to their great staff is, they used mostly older people. They all seemed like "good ole folks". I bet you could go have Sunday dinner at any of their homes. Maybe, I'm getting older (hmm), but I'm finding alot of the younger guys working in the public field, don't have the work ethics and consideration for others. We've already made plans to go back in the Fall.

April is the start of alot of birthdays for the next few months. Ever noticed how birthdays seem to come in waves? Well, this is our wave. Our birthday celebrations for this month was my Mom and Katie. Yes, our Princess Katie turned "3". We had a Princess Tea Party with a few of her friends. She loved it. Even today, she was wearing her princess dress over her Red Sox, baseball shirt. It's a new twist to the princess attire. She also is wanting to be a roller skate princess. The modern princesses are trying everything these days. No more just attending Balls and sipping tea. I have to give a huge hug and kiss to my sweet Noah. He very willingly dressed as the prince for Katie's party (shh). He has always loved to dress in character for whatever he was playing. He still had an old Captain Hook velvet coat from Halloween which he wanted to be "Prince Charming" 2 years ago. He was very charming!

Love blooms for us in the month of May. Barry and I will celebrate our 19th wedding anniversary tomorrow. Time flies!!! Our 19 years have been wonderful. We've have experienced alot of trials, but God's grace and our love for each other has brought us through it all. We've shared alot of laughs, tears of joy, tears of sorrow and dissapointment, but the best of all, we've had each other to share it with.

I think I'm all caught up for now, but will have more birthday news etc. to share very soon. Life celebrations are special. It always worth taking the time to enjoy the beautiful moments.

HAPPY "GOTCHA" DAY
